Authorship Criteria

JROH: Jurnal Obat Hati follows the authorship principles recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). To qualify as an author, individuals must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution

    • Contributed significantly to the conception or design of the study, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.

  2. Manuscript Preparation

    • Participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  3. Final Approval

    • Provided final approval of the version to be published.

  4. Accountability

    • Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Acknowledgment of Non-Author Contributions

Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet all four criteria (e.g., funding acquisition, general supervision, technical assistance, or proofreading) should be listed in the Acknowledgments section, not as authors.

Order of Authorship

The order of authors should be a joint decision of the co-authors. Any disputes regarding authorship must be resolved before submission.

Changes in Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be approved by all authors and accompanied by a clear explanation. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
